
required gear
GEAR UP FOR YOUR CLASS
You must bring the following items with you to participate in your motorcycle training class. Documentation and required gear will be checked before class. If required items are missing, you will be unable to participate.​
DOT-Approved helmet
Must fit properly and be in good condition.
eye protection
Safety glasses or goggles are required, even with a face shield - additional eye protection is required whenever the face shield is in the up position.
boots
Footwear must completely cover the ankle and have a hard sole.
High-top sneakers, sandals and footwear with high heels are not acceptable.
gloves
Full-finger, preferably leather and fitted. Open finger gloves are not acceptable.
full-length pants
Jeans, canvas or other durable material pants must reach your boots while in the riding position.
Ripped jeans, sweatpants, flare-leg , yoga pants and shorts are not acceptable.
long-sleeved shirt
Sweatshirt, jacket or long-sleeved T-shirt must reach your wrists while in the riding position.
sun protection / rain & cold weather gear
Come prepared with appropriate clothing. The range is uncovered and classes take place Rain or Shine!

SUNSHINE: bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a lightweight, long-sleeve t-shirt for sun protection.

COLD WEATHER: dress in layers and bring extra items so you can add/remove layers as the temperature changes.

RAIN GEAR: bring a waterproof, hooded rain jacket to stay dry amidst rain.
food & drink
Come prepared with enough water, electrolyte-replenishing drinks, food and nourishing snacks to last the entire day!
